As a general Rule of Thumb, we recommend using the smallest tip that provides the desired concentration factor for your application.

 

3 - Packaging Format by Target Application

All products are produced aseptically in a cleanroom environment. Understanding your downstream application will help identify which package format is best suited.

  • Non-irradiated CPTs -Bulk packaged and suitable for most applications due to the inherent low background.  Recommended if target organisms are non-ubiquitous or using selective assays.
  • Irradiated CPTs  - Individually wrapped and irradiated to provide added protection against bioburden. Best for culture-based downstream applications.

CP Select™ Daily System Care Kit

Formerly referred to as the Storage Fluid Maintenance Kit, the CP Select™ Daily System Care Kit includes routine system-care consumables used to support proper CP Select™ operation, shutdown, rinsing, storage, and decontamination when the instrument is in regular use.

This kit is required for the CP Select™ shutdown protocol and should be used according to the CP Select™ User Manual and Preventive Maintenance Schedule.

FluidPrep™ 1 µm Upstream Clarification Filter/Filter Bag

Fine upstream clarification for difficult, high-particulate liquid samples

The FluidPrep™ 1 µm Upstream Clarification Filter is a single-use fine prefiltration tool for reducing persistent suspended particulates before concentration. Use it when cloudy, clay-like, wastewater-impacted, environmental, or other difficult liquid samples contain fine solids that may interfere with CP Select™ or EasyElute™ workflows.

Because 1 µm filtration may retain cells, protozoa, fungi, organism fragments, biofilm-associated material, particle-associated eDNA/eRNA, or solids-associated targets, users should evaluate target recovery before routine use.

 

Some complex liquid samples contain fine suspended particles that remain after settling or coarse screening. These particles can contribute to slow flow, premature filter loading, or inconsistent concentration performance.

The FluidPrep™ 1 µm Upstream Clarification Filter supports the Clarify step of the InnovaPrep® 4C Workflow — Characterize → Condition → Clarify → Concentrate — by reducing fine particulate burden before concentration when a less aggressive approach is not sufficient.

 

Best used when samples contain:

  • Persistent fine suspended solids
  • Cloudy or clay-like turbidity
  • Fine mineral or sediment load
  • Wastewater-impacted water with difficult fine particulates
  • Environmental water, stormwater, canal water, lagoon water, or receiving water with persistent haze
  • Large-volume samples that remain difficult after coarse debris removal
  • Samples where direct CP Select™ or EasyElute™ concentration is limited by fine particulate burden

 

For gross debris, use coarse screening (e.g. 100 µm Mesh Upstream Clarification Filter). For CP Select™ workflows where fouling occurs during concentration, consider CPT-Attached Matrix Prefilters.

Clarify and Concentrate in a Single Step

CPT™-Attached Matrix Prefilters attach directly to compatible CP Select™ Concentration Tips, enabling clarification and concentration to occur simultaneously during sample processing.

By reducing larger particles, debris, aggregates, and matrix-associated material before they reach the hollow fiber concentration membrane, matrix prefilters can improve flow performance, reduce premature tip fouling, and expand the range of samples that can be processed using CP Select™ workflows.

Available pore sizes include 1 µm, 8 µm, 25 µm, and 75 µm.

Single-Use Hollow-Fiber Concentration Devices for the CP Select™ System

 

FluidPrep™ Concentration Tips (CPTs) are single-use hollow-fiber concentration devices designed exclusively for use with the CP Select™ System. CPTs concentrate target particles from liquid samples by retaining them within a hollow-fiber membrane while allowing filtered liquid to pass through as permeate. Captured material may then be rapidly recovered into a small-volume eluate using InnovaPrep's patented Wet Foam Elution™ technology.

Standard vs Mini

 

Standard CPTs are generally selected for larger sample volumes and routine concentration workflows.

Mini CPTs are optimized for smaller sample volumes of low complexity samples, such as AirPrep eluates.

 

 

Irradiated vs Non-Irradiated

 

All CPTs are manufactured under controlled cleanroom conditions and provide equivalent concentration performance.

 

Irradiated CPTs undergo an additional irradiation step to further reduce consumable-associated bioburden. They are commonly selected for culture-based workflows, low-biomass samples, environmental monitoring in controlled manufacturing environments, and other applications where background biological material may influence results.

 

For many environmental sampling and targeted molecular workflows, non-irradiated CPTs are routinely used because the native sample background or assay specificity greatly exceeds any potential contribution from. the consumable itself.

The 100 µm Mesh Upstream Clarification Filter supports the Clarify step by removing coarse debris only when needed.

AirPrep™ Filter in Tracer Envelope - ETO Treated

Each envelope contains a dry electret filter that is ETO treated and ready-for-use. Whether performing the elution and sample analysis immediately or sending your samples to a laboratory for analysis, the Tracer Envelope ensures sample integrity and traceability.

Tracer Envelopes Offer Streamlined and Secure Sample Management

Each envelope has a unique barcode sequence for easy scanning and traceability.  The codes are redundant in the form of two removable 2D stickers can be applied to filter and/or sample records and one 2D/human readable version printed on the envelope to provide added security in diverse environments and transport conditions.

Envelopes are water-resistant and won't tear or puncture, yet allow recording of sample information with pen or marker.

Second adhesive strip allows secure resealing of the envelope containing the sample post-collection making it suitable for storage or transport.

Pack Size - 10 filters individually wrapped in Tracer envelopes. Also available in plain white packaging.
