Ultrapure water used for pharmaceutical production, semiconductor manufacturing, and laboratory uses is susceptible to contamination by growth of biofilms within the system. Periodic releases of bacteria from these biofilms can cause shutdown of operations with dramatic cost consequences. Use of the InnovaPrep liquid-to-liquid concentrator enable rapid detection of bacteria contamination in ultrapure water systems allowing for adjustments to the system before loss of product or shutdown of manufacturing operations.
